The Only Royal Empire of Indonesia


Yogyakarta is the only Royal Empire that still stand still till today in an Indonesia. Yogyakarta well known as  the International Heritage City.  If  you visit to Yogyakarta province we could find many ancient heritage such like Temples that build in 8 BC also the Sultan Palace and local culture that still at well protected. In Historical of Indonesia Yogyakarta is the first Capital City of Indonesia, and Yogyakarta also well known as students city, every year thousand of high school graduated students come here to extend the further study.

The atmosphere and tolerance of Yogyakarta is very difference if we compare other province in Indonesia, the society in here are lives in a simple stage of live the are not to pursue of luxuries living. 


I been stayed in Yogyakarta about 8 years, and I love this city very much until now. I also plan to going back here one day with my family for refresh old memory.
Yogyakarta has a unique night life that called “Lesehan”, if you arrived in Yogyakarta on the night you don't have to afraid that the city will be very quite and nobody around you or it might a little be creepy that condition you will not found in Yogyakarta. In the night time in Yogyakarta has it own typical characteristic. You will find many kind of  tradition food that sales along the street of Solo and Malioboro.


Yogyakarta also known as heritage city, we could find many ancient Hinduism and Buddhism Temple such like Prambanan, Kalasan, Sambisari  and Borobudur, Boko Palace etc.

In the main city of Yogyakarta we could visit the Sultan Palace easily it’s located at the heart of Yogyakarta, in around the Sultan Palace area we can find the Water Palace and the Sultan Cart Museum, and don’t forget to visit the traditional batik industries that near by.

Water Palace (Taman Sari)
Ramayana Dance
Boko Palace
Prambanan Temple
Borobudur Temple (one of the world 7 wonder)
Parangtritis beach
Kaliurang (The Highland in Yogyakarta if the weather clear you can see clearly the Merapi Mt.)
Kota Gede (the city of silver handcraft)
Afandi Museum (Afandi is a abstract maestro painting of Indonesia)

The weather in Yogyakarta same as other place in Indonesia, it warm the temperature is around 30- 32 degree Celsius but when reach to the end of the year from September onward the temperature will little bit wet temperature around 26 – 30 degree Celsius but at night more chill the temperature around 11 – 18 degree Celsius.

The currency that used for daily transaction is Rupiah.

The people in Yogyakarta is a very friendly society, and very helpful.

Nyuwun sewu = excuse me
Mong go = please
Piye kabare? = how are you
Iyo = yes
Ora = no .
Apik = good
Niki piro =how much it is?
Dahar = eat
Ngeleh =thirsty / tired

How to get there:
From Jakarta with airplane to Yogyakarta take about 40 minutes. Few airlines company that fly daily to Yogyakarta are Garuda, Lion, Batavia, Air Asia etc.
